Permabond is delighted to announce the launch of a new range of MMA (methyl methacrylate) structural acrylic adhesives. Five new two-part adhesives are now available to European customers.

The product range comprises:

toughened acrylicsPermabond TA4200 and TA4210 – are two part 1:1 mix ratio structural acrylics that dispense with guns and static mixing nozzles. The products offer excellent gap fill and are available in a choice of two cure speeds. Strength development is rapid, and these adhesives are ideal for use on a variety of plastics, wood, composites, metals, ferrites, and ceramics. Their rubber-toughened matrix allows for bonding of dissimilar substrates where differential thermal expansion and contraction could be an issue or where parts could be subject to impact or high levels of vibration.

Permabond TA4202 – is the classic pink / green fast cure structural acrylic adhesive (methyl methacrylate). It can be used with a short mixing nozzle or bead-on-bead to eliminate waste entirely. It is a fast curing, extremely high strength adhesive which is ideal for use on high speed production lines. The product is readily available at short notice and this product offers an excellent alternative for customers experiencing supply issues with similar competitor MMA adhesive.

Permabond TA4204 is a high performance 1:1 mix ratio structural acrylic adhesive with very high shear and peel strength. It can be applied by mixing nozzle or bead-on-bead if preferred. This adhesive offers an exceptional finished appearance as it is colourless and transparent. Depending on how it is applied, users can achieve a “crystal clear” bond line. An excellent alternative joining method to replace solvent welding for items such as Perspex acrylic displays and point of sale items. Not only do they help eliminate harmful solvents such as dichloromethane from the workplace, but give a much better finished bonded appearance. Permabond TA4204 also bonds composites, metals, glass, and ceramics.
