Temperature Resistance of Various Adhesive Types

Temperature resistance

Here is a guide of temperature resistance by adhesive type.  Products usually can withstand higher temperatures for brief periods providing the joint is not unduly stressed.  High stress, poor joint design, and thermal shock may cause bond failure at lower temperature.

Temperature resistance is defined as the temperature at which the bond retains 40% of its strength.  For more information on temperature and adhesives, see High Temperature Adhesives & Heat Resistant Adhesives
